Article

In the article "How Teachers Integrate Technology and Their Beliefs about Learning:Is There a Connection?" Eugene Judson explains how the way a teacher teaches can be affected by weather they incorporate technology into their classroom or not. If a teacher does not see why technology should be included then they tend to teach more conservative where if a teacher were to teach with technology and agree with it they tend to be more constructive teachers. however much of this research is self submitted so the data is less accurate than observation data would be. In today's teaching administrators prefer teacher to teach with student input and the more teachers teacher constructively the more open to this concept they will be. We need students to be able to work with and use computers in their everyday life. their for we need teachers who are able and willing to incorporate technology into the classroom. With inclusion of technology we bring inclusion in society.
I chose this article because i was curious if technology changed the way teachers taught other than their material and curriculum. I have concluded from this article that technology has an effect on the way you think. Even though I may not realize this because i was raised with technology in my life. Using a computer when you are younger makes the way you think start to change you do not always think conservative but tend to question things and why they are. this is a good thing in this society and younger students need to be able to start utilizing the computers at a younger age.

PowerPoint

PowerPoint is something I have heard about a lot in the classroom as i grew up. Little did I know how much could be done with this simple tool. Not only can you make presentation, slide shows, and other neat and entertaining presentations but you can also but together books, make quizzes that flow nicely with the book telling what answer is right and wrong, and much more. PowerPoint is something I believe many teachers use in their classroom but not in as many ways as they should. Instead of just clicking page to page a teacher could make a book that the students could read and take home so they can study. There are so many ways to make pictures appear in different ways and with different sounds transitions, and such. Each page can look as though it is Floating or moving from one to another but with motion and smoothness.

Blogger

In class we discussed blogging and how to set a b log page up. I found this information extremely helpful and useful in a classroom. In the classroom students and teachers would be able to utilize the blog page for homework, assignments, or chats about what is going on in the classroom. The teacher could make one blog page with all of the students as administrators or give each student their own blog page. the blog page with everyone as an author would allow all of the students to put together ideas or experiences they had on a field trip or other activity they did or were a part of during class. Not only was blogging explained in class but the book we read also gave much information about how to blog. One way to incorporate a blog page into the classroom other than the above would be to allow students to add information about a specific history event they have done research on. Until they had one big historical page. Blogs can be edited so anything that was misleading would be able to be taken down. By having the blog be set to private other people would not be able to access the blog page.
