Ebooks in the classroom
Ebooks in the classroom seem to be a great thing because they are much like books but have other features. One feature is that students would be able to read the books and have the words be highlighted as they read each one. This makes it easier for the student to see the word they are saying. Another is having the words light up as they are being read by someone else. this makes it easier for the teacher if they have more than one group doing work at the same time. My question is how will that affect the student when they go to read a text book or a book that is not available on the Internet? I believe that ebooks are great but that they should not be over used. If a teacher and or parent can moderate the use and make sure it is not getting abused or hurting the child's reading ability than they are wonderful. However like many other things such as educational games that are available on the Internet get abused. This is because students are not being watched closely enough.
